Chronicles: the Convergence has ended for 2009, but it will live on in our memories (and next year!)
What was your experience?
Bad timing for me, I wish I'd been able to make more time for it… I would have loved to have spent a lot more time there. I took my 9-year-old son, who has recently learned to play D&D 4E, and this was his first con ever. I found the convention to be very kid-friendly. Not a lot of kids there, but there were a few, and he got to play games with some kids his own age. Not to mention helping teach a few adults how to play D&D. And he got to play Bakugan with someone other than his dad, and finally got to play Munchkin.
You might note that my weekend was pretty oriented around showing my son a good time… really wish I could have had more time for gaming with other adults, but by the time I got him home and into bed, I just didn't have the energy to head back out and stay up late. More an issue of schedule than my extremely advanced age, I hope. :) But it was a good time, and I got to reconnect with some old friends and meet some new people. I'm looking forward to next year's Chronicles: The Rising.
